People-powered Learning For Life

How do you prepare young people for life ahead? For educators tasked with helping tomorrow’s citizens, parents and employees navigate a complex world, it’s a big ask.

At Amazing People Schools, we understand your challenge.

Our mission is to unlock the potential of every young person, inspiring them through role models, their stories and strengths. We do this by creating a learning experience that will engage and motivate students from early years to 16, with teaching resources and events that support character strength development as well as mental health and wellbeing.

Our resources open up a world of different cultures and faiths, and it’s a diverse one, representing a range of protected characteristics including race and sexual orientation.

The Amazing People Schools platform will help your students build the tools they’ll need for the future – critical tools such as resilience, self-esteem and empathy.

And it’ll help you create life-long, positive impact.

Our Amazing Story

APS Timeline - Our Story

Meet Our Founder

Dr Charles Margerison is a psychologist, a member of the Royal Institution and the Royal Literature Society, author, entrepreneur and educator.

Previously Professor of Management at the University of Cranfield, UK, the University of Queensland, Australia, he is a co-founder of Team Management Systems and Emerald Insights, the world’s largest management journal company.

The author of more than ten books on management issues, Dr Margerison has also developed an innovative continuing professional development system, called The Communication and Problem-Solving Resource, useful in all aspects of life.

The seed of what grew into Amazing People Schools was sown when Dr Margerison wondered what amazing people like William Shakespeare, Frida Kahlo, Harriet Tubman and Albert Einstein might have said if he had interviewed them about their life and work.  His research that spanned over twenty years focussed on the psychology of these inspirational role models and how they used their time and talents to achieve amazing things.
