Over the break, we’ve seen character education rise up the agenda, highlighting its role in driving pupil wellbeing, behaviour for learning, school culture and future employability.

In July, the Association of Character Education reported that in 2014, only 1% of ‘Outstanding’ schools mentioned character in Ofsted reports. By 2022, that number had risen to 14%, and in 2024, it’s now 22%.*
